How much is this going to cost him in retirement monies?

I could be wrong, but it was my understanding that military retirement was based on the highest rank ever achieved. It doesn't matter what your actual rank was at retirement or any changes after. If this is indeed so, this scumbag's retirement allowance won't change at all.

Per the article linked above, "Second Lieutenant Grazioplene will maintain any benefits or privileges authorized for retired officers in the grade of second lieutenant."

Sounds like they've gotten pretty tough, in years gone by senior officers got a slap on the wrist at most-cf. David Petraeus.

Highest rank honorably served is the kicker used to drop the retirement check.

Ah! Thanks for clearing that up for me. Much better.

What this guy really needs is a military injection of 230grs of lead to the cranium.

If he gets 2.5% times 34 years of service (maybe 38 if his West Point time counts) thats at least 85% of a Second Looey's base base ($3287), so about $2800 a month. I'm not sure if other pay things factor in.

So, he still gets a blue sticker for his car and gets saluted at the gate on the way to the PX and Commissary. Health care, too.

The first AF guy I hauled to the US Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, KS had also molested his daughter. I asked when he started and he said the day he brought her home from the base hospital. She told when she was about 10, so there were fresh charges to use.

Maybe its changed, but the reception for new arrivals in 1989 was shockingly grim. Too bad this used-to-be General won't see the inside of that place.

RANK
