How often do you clean your gun?

Every time I shoot. I have it down to a science, I can make a handgun spotless in 20 minutes. Except for my 617, I hate cleaning that gun because the rimfire ammunition makes it filthy and the chambers are almost impossible to get clean.

Try using a 6mm bore brush in a cordless drill with solvent.

I'm like a couple others here... My bullseye competition guns get cleaned 2-3 times per year. My 14-4 has around 1200 rounds through it since it's last cleaning but shoots just as well when freshly cleaned (it'll cutout the x-ring at 50 yards). The autos get the same (lack) of attention. Just keep 'em oiled and the breach faces cleaned off. Believe it or not, when clean they are without any blemishes.

Every time I shoot, I come home and clean. It's what was I was taught and has worked well for me. It's part of the shooting experience to me. Now I must admit, my kids are grown and out of the house so it's easier for me.
