Is pleading guilty the same as a conviction?

Yes, yes a thousand times yes. I cannot count the number of times I've argued with clients that you don't have to go through a trial and loose your appeal to be considered "convicted"-a guilty PLEA accomplishes the same thing. That's why the Judge spends so much time doing the "Boykin colloquy" before accepting a plea. Kinda like my alpha hotel mayor telling me that I was not an elected official like him because I was unopposed. You can't argue with logic like that in either instance....just shake one's head and mumble "Well bless your heart"

sounds like a failed fiction author to me.
I thought 4473 was for transfer of ownership. If recovered, ownership is unchanged, it's just returned.
Now ... the recovery time .... these things tend to stay gone or turn up a few decades later, if at all.
