Years ago I was appointed executor of my uncle's estate and I was overwhelmed with people wanting to buy his property,he owned one of the most beautiful properties in the county,right by a large creek.anyway one person who wanted it was a local real estate agent/auctioneer,the phone calls started once a week,then twice a week,I kept telling him no and he kept calling.one day he called me at work,big mistake,I told him if he called again I'd kick his a## so far up his back he'd s##t out his mouth,never heard from him again

Had a 68 Camaro in my yard for years as I saved to fix it up
I had so many door knockers that I got a 4x8 sheet of plywood and spray painted " not for sale" on it and leaned it against the car
Got some good laughs out of it and it seemed to work , although I did eventually sell the car

I'll tell you what I'm tired of . . . Forum members scorning other members' states or towns. It's a recurring thing on this forum. People beat their chests and scoff at what other members have to put up with. It is tiresome and reeks of arrogance. It's much like the entitlement OP speaks of.

Look, where one lives is always a compromise. My own state is a huge problem for gun owners, but a lot of us here don't have the government we voted for. While some things here suck, I'm 20 minutes from saltwater, 20 minutes from forest, an hour from snow, and 3 hours from desert. Hunting, fishing and shooting opportunities abound. Portland is very much the same, but they also suffer from the left.

As a fellow Washingtonian, I can sympathize with what you're saying.
HOWEVER, having lived 29 years in the Puget Sound area, and spent quite a lot of time in Vancouver & Portland, I think I have a right to hold and express an informed opinion about both.
Unfortunately, that opinion has been very biased to the negative, based on nearly 30 years of experience watching both areas turn into a difunctional dystopian horror show.
