Hey Ya'll!
Trolled by here a few times during my decision making process for my new carry. Well, I am no longer going to the XD forums! Picked up an M&P40c a couple of weeks ago and love it. Put a couple hundred rounds through it could not be happier.

As the title says I am from the Pacific Northwest (wet). Only a few miles from the Canadian border and right on the water. I have been out of the gun world for a bunch of years, mainly because I raised 4 kids on my own, which gets really pricey. But I have one more left at home and she will be graduating this spring and I will have a dollar or two extra finally. :D

Getting out of the construction industry and am back in school for IT Network Technology & Security. 2 quarters left to go.

I own a Jeep that the wife-to-be calls the other woman, I fly fish, hike, love food and good beer, rum and tequila and am of the opinion that Spotted owl tastes like chicken. I believe in God and Country, and pray that when I die my "wife-to-be does not sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them. I am not PC or believe in gray areas. You should get what you pay for and should get paid for what you give. If you are drowning I will help you out, if you bite my hand I will hold you under. That about sums me up, I like things simple and to the point.

Glad to be here.

Welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania!

Welcome from Texas DuckDodgers. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Nice Jeep.

When I got home the other I checked the mail and there was an envelope from the local Sheriffs Dept. Opened it up and there gleaming in the incandescent light of my living room, held proudly in my right hand was my CPL. Only took me 56 years to decide to finally get one, well, minus the first 21yrs. But now I am legal. My town used to be a pretty safe town to live in and never really thought about getting a permit. But sadly things have changed and after my daughter being assaulted and my son having a gun stuck in his face by some bangers I figured it was time. I pray I never have to use it but I'd rather be prepared to than not. So, my M&P40c is my new best friend.
Cheers ya'll be safe.
