Hi, I'm Vegetaman, but you can call me "Veg" or "Veggie" or whatever vegetable pun you can think of.
Let's see... I'm a WWII reenactor...
Oh, and I just took my brand new Rock Island Armory M1911-A1 .45 to the range today (in honor of 9-12, you could say) to test fire it. It really loves to eat 230 grain FMJ .45 autos. I'm not the best shot in the world (or anything close to it, really), but I managed to put 2 rounds in the 7 range and one in the 10 on my first clip.
Sadly, the ammo I bought for it, was $35 for 50 rounds! Yowch! Hopefully those prices come back down to a normal level soon, or I may be waiting awhile to shoot it again. Next on my list is to strip it apart for it's first good cleaning and lubing... Which is on the docket for Monday.
That's about it. Oh, and I'm hoping that one of these days that Illinois gets conceal and carry...
UPDATE: Here's some pictures of my new RIA M1911.
