Rancher Will
Member
Just a note to introduce myself from NW Colorado.
Although I have read on this site from time to time, I am now a member.
My Background:
USAF Veteran 1949-1954
Retired LEO: Police Detective, County Undersheriff and Chief of Police, 1958 to 2000
Working Cowboy 1945-1949
Cattle Rancher 1958 to present-Semi-Retired
As an LEO I carried a S&W Model 28 until 1962 when I purchased a 4-inch, Model 29 that was my duty revolver until I retired. I still have, carry and use it. I also have, and sometimes carried a S&W Model 24 when I was in plain clothes. I still have and use it also. My wife usually carries and used this Mod 24 now though.
I do also have, use and carry, since 1961, while on horseback, a Ruger Blackhawk that replaced my Colt .44-40 that I owned from 1943. I carry the single action on horseback for safety rather than the double action S&W revolvers.
I have enjoyed lurking on here and now hope to participate.
