Howdy. I just recently joined this group. Although I have owned over a hundred guns in my life I realized I never owned or even fired a Smith and Wesson. I mostly collect and shoot Colts. I finally changed that last week. I went to the Fort Worth gun show and searched for a 29-2 or a 25-5 or a 57. I was dead set on a 4 inch blue model. No luck on a decent gun at a fair price. The show was about to close and I was walking out when I saw an older gentleman on a motorized scooter. A sign on the scooter had several guns listed. One gun was a 57. I came out of there the proud owner of a 57 no dash 4 inch blue with barely any wear and no turn ring. Got the wood box with all the accessories and original paperwork, the original smith and wesson holster and an extra set of grips. All for a price I was happy to pay, actually less than I was expecting to pay. All I can say is Yeee Hawww!!

Welcome to the forum from KS. Don't see many 57's. I found one in a local Pawn shop they wanted more than a nice boxed 29-2 would bring. Early 4" blue, hated walking away from it.
