Haven't found much of anything they don't like in my handloads and American made commercial ammo.

I have the 40VE and that things seems to fire what ever I throw at it!

Ran a mag of 147 gr. JHP/XTP Hornady's through my 9VE weekend before last. The weapon performed flawlessly as always! No discernable increase in recoil, same typical group.

no problems with any HP ammo or other ammo in mine either.

I have tried to make mine jam with JHP's with no luck ........ As a matter of fact for a while I was filling my mags with a big mix of ammo even some old junk my grandfather gave me and shooting it all without a hitch. I still can't falt my SW9VE.

I've tried Cor-Bon, Remington, Remington Golden Sabers, Federal Hydra-Shok, Winchester, and Speer Gold Dots through mine. I've even run 1000 rounds of Wolf FMJ through it. Not a single issue.
Ever.

I run just about anything through my sigma 40gve and haven't had any problems and just about all of them are hollow points, so you should be good to go......

I have the same experience with everyone else. My Sigma 40VE eats up ANYTHING I put in it. As long it sez .40S&W on the box...have at it!

Nobody seems to have a problem with the SV Sigma's, except me. I've had 7 light primer strikes and 2 jams in 425 rounds of assorted name brand HP and FMJ 115-147 grain ammo. I have sent it back and I'm comfident I'll get it back perfect.

I got it back and haven't got to the range yet (310 mile round trip to the closest range) but they polished the feed ramp and opened the throat way up. It should eat anything now. They also took some off the striker assembly where the sear trips it and put in a new recoil spring and guide. The result, when dry firing it the trigger pull is still long and hard but smooth and crisp and the break is absolutly predictable. Doesn't have that mushy when is it going to go bang feel. I can't believe the improvement.

My sigma 40ve has no issues as well. A little side note: Went to the gun shop where I bought my Sigma, the price went from $229.00 to $465.00 I guess the secret is out. Cheers

I bought a new 9VE AF model last year. I loved the pistol for what it is, a great bargain at the time-$299, 4 mags and a S&W range bag. My gun had problems with various HP rounds, especially Federal. I have 6 (10 ammo cans at one time) ammo cans of loose HPs and FMJ 9mm and too many (!) reloads I bought cheap in the mid 90s. The VE had no problems at all with anything except the odd hollow point round. I don't know if it were the flat nose on the HP rounds, but it would often fail to seat properly on recoil leaving the action slightly open. Only on Federals, which I have in abundance. I sold the 9VE due to a cash shortage, but have since purchased a 40VE which has no problems with any ammo. Only wish I had a stockpile of 40 S&W in the basement. My 9F will shoot anything its feed. By and large, the VE series is sort of the AK 47 of the pistol world, that is, affordable, reliable and capable. Good guns.

I've put a couple of boxes of Georgia Arms 148-grain Hollow Point commercial reloads through my SW9VE and haven't had any problems so far.
