HR 218 Qual again

My old Dept (where I re-cert for my LEOSA) doesn't do Revolvers anymore.

They are all but outlawed.

Shame too.

One of the cool things about the LEOSA qual in Nevada is that you only qualify with a revolver or auto and it covers both - no need to shoot one of each. The card just says, "handgun." Been that way for all the years I've been qualifying in Nevada. The course of fire is also very simple. 30 rounds untimed:

6 rounds @ 3 yds
12 rounds @ 5 yds
12 rounds @7 yds

We shoot the same regular officers course. I love it. Plus they provide the ammo.

"Whooze dat old guy with the white beard?" I will hear at the pre-shoot, use of force, lecture. I do "stick-out" a little with my cowboy hat and stock-dog wearing headphones.

Then when we retrieve and score the targets at the end "Dang! He can shoot!"
