Humor 1/3

I can relate to #1. Every now and then, someone would come up with a good line and if their violation and driving history were minor enough, they would just get a warning. Sometimes humor and empathy could go a long way.

I stopped a young man for speeding one time, his excuse was "My wife is gonna get pregnant tonight and I kinda want to be there."
He got a warning

#1 pretty much happened at 0300 on I-11 near Boulder City just before Christmas. The guy was doing 122.

I don't get the "I have to catch up" thing. I do notice that American born passengers get ants in their pants because I don't chase down the cars in front. I call it asphalt agoraphobia, a morbid dread of more than 50 feet of empty road in front of you.
