Humpday 66-8

The 19 Carry Comp got my attention a few months ago, but decided on a 66-8 instead. I've been looking/making calls for the last month, but not in stock anywhere I could find.

Finally found a local shop that just got one in. Went yesterday to check it out. Looked good and felt good, so took it home. Date on the box label was 090821, which was a Wednesday-so hope it's a good one. Stay tuned!

One of my favorite handguns. I have both 3" M19 Carry Comp and 2.75" M66-8. Like them both, but if I had to choose, it would be the 66-8.

Update-Range report....Awesome!

Thought I would stay a 7 yards until we get to know each other.

Started off low and left with some .38 and .357. I figured it was me (too many years with Glock), so tried 6 rounds in single action. It absolutely ate the hole out of the center. I went back to DAO and continued to improve. It's a keeper!

Well mine is 06/23/21 which just happens to be a, yes you guessed it, Wednesday and its a champ with everything from .38 Sp. 148 wad cutters to 130 Hydra-Shoks in .357. My old eyes keep me in the 7-15 yard range but its a great pistol.
Maybe they only build them on Wednesdays???

Another good range day. The groups are getting smaller and I think this 66 is turning into my favorite.
Installed Altamont Falconia grips (yes, I'm a Goodyear guy) and like them better than the stock grips.
