Hunter Holster

I'm guessing that is a model 3100 size 29 made for M&P (Model 10) with
2" barrel?
I've been collecting the 3100 (carved) and so far have 5 sizes that I have
guns for.
Some think they are embossed, but I did the research and know that they
are actually hand carved. They called them leather engravers back in the
days when the 3100s were made.
The Hunter fit chart does not show 3100, but they are the same sizes
as the 1100s. 1100 is plain. 2100 is basket weave, and 3100 of course
is carved.
Great little holster you have there.

To the OP that's a nice one.
Here's a Hunter I grab out of a box of old holsters at a gun show. Definitely carved and not embossed. I'm not sure what gun it was made for but seems to work good with the Combat Commander.

Hunter called that a Combat Action Holster.
Here on the left, is an old magazine ad from way back when.
On the right is my 55L. I too tried several guns, most fit OK,
but my Model 29 fits the best.

Also what are the grips made of?

Elk antler I do believe. I bought them at a local gun show from a guy that makes them and he is a member here but I don't see him post any.
The side you see in that picture is the one that got my attention, unusual looking.
Here is both sides and the name of the company on the back.
OK why are the pictures turning side ways?

Without lining, is your Hunter relatively smooth inside? The bluing on my Single Six is pristine, and I might lean toward a lined holster.
