Yes that one but for .223/5.56
I have the JP polished spring, and will be running it with the Enidine...just havent made it to the range since i got em in...
So this is the AR-Restor buffer
AR-RESTOR? | Brownells
So guys... with the JP Tuned Spring and the Hydro Buffer... this should be a Great Option...
Will Flash Suppressors, or different Ones, effect recoil/Target Acquisition also???
This has me thinking now for sure
I see at least another $110 on AR Toys this week...![]()
A while back I got the JP tuned/polished spring and a Spikes T2 buffer. Neither did anything to reduce the recoil on my Sport, but the JP spring definitely got rid of the scratchy/raspy sound during cycling.
So how did you BCG like the heavier buffer ? Any FTE or FTF problems ? Lock up on last round ok ?
I bought about the same weight buffer for a back up for my stock, still in use buffers. Gotta have a few spare parts on hand.
I snagged the JP. They are back in stock."Should be here Friday.

Should be one here Friday. The Club had to close down the range here. Kids and 4 wheelers had turned into a mud run with the up and down weather we have been having. Hopefully it'll be open by the time I get back on my feet again.
If no one else indicates they want to try out the hydro buffer by Sunday, I'll ask Stavman to send it back to me. I know we have two people who still want to try it, but circumstances are keeping them from it. I can send it out to you guys when you're ready.
Okay what does the M&P 15's stock buffer weigh anyways? I don't have a scale.
JP Captured Recoil Buffer.
I installed this in my 20" "Franklin build" after I tried it In my Sport and 15 T. All shot well with zero issues (so far),wear, tare and the test of time will tell. It also was used on another Sport, two RR carbines, couple BM's and another guy that loves his "Kool-Aid". It had a work out today, brand new out of the tube.
It is quieter with a smoother operation, lesser felt recoil is so-so (it has about the same weight buffer & recoil spring as a stock buffer & spring).
Recovery from shot to shot is a bit faster (?)...maybe a little bit.
Great up-grade but nothing to write home about. I am impressed by this Silent Capture Recoil Spring. This part should have been invented years ago and is very well made. There is no "spoon on a cheese grater noise". It didn't make it totally silent, but way better than it was.
The Rifle "feels" smoother in action. No problems on rapid fire. And the mag catch worked 100%.
Very clear and precise instructions.
While suggested, you do not have to remove the weapon's original buffer retainer. A small flatblade screwdriver helps installation and removing it if you keep the buffer retainer. It can be a bit tricky getting it in & out and you have to "dodge" the hammer a titch. I opted and left the retainer in so the buffer wouldn't just free fall out of the tube (the hammer would keep it from completely falling out). It keeps everything where it "should be" with no un-intended oops.. It does fit perfect in the buffer tube. No slop.
It looks re-build-able,but there aren't any parts that I could find. It would also be nice if they had a spring kit to interchange heavier/lighter springs and change the buffer weight up or down.
It's a pricey,VERY well made, nice little toy. If it just holds up and works like it should,I'll be more than happy.
I bought it because I could. It wasn't a need/have to have item. My (or the other's),shooting didn't get any better or any worse. It is a very nice buffer muffler.![]()
