Hydrodipped Pattern

The anti-gun crowd already attack these style rifles based on color... remember they are all evil "black guns". There is no color or design other than banned that will satisfy them. Besides... I doubt that anti-gun hoplophobes would dare get close enough to see the design. ;)

Let's get back to the original subject here.
There's a 2A section on the Forum to further discuss other issues.

Did you notice tho how in the instructional video he did a box? Nothing complicated. I wanna see it go that smoothly when you try to do your lower receiver with all its funky edges.

I've seen (online) so many skull-patterned rifles lately, I'd be inclined to do something different.

Snakeskin is neat:

Wood would be different on a 15-22:

Don't know what you call it, but it looks neat:

A bunch more patterns and gallery here: Camouflage / Carbon Fiber / Wood Grains / Burl Wood

Anyone with experience in the durability of these finishes??

Spotted a couple s&w lightweights that someone has dipped in the carbon fiber pattern. I would not call it pretty, but different.

Opinions???

Since Hydro dip can be expensive you might want to look at duracoat products they have some great patterns and you can buy a kit that includes everything you need to do the job.

And I wrote a free windows application that helps you pick just the right colors for your local landscape.

Dip recommendation

Hey Jubz,

I like the idea so I googled Hydro-Dip. Would you send your rifle out or try the dip kit?

The website for Hydro-dip quotes a $500 minimum charge, so I think I just answered my own question.

I found the dipkit company site. I like the dead hedz dipkit. Even the dipkits are kinda expensive at $99. Have you found it cheaper?

Check with Hydrographic Printing Georgia Hydrographics. I have used them and they are good people.
