I almost forgot it was 9/11

Riding in the car the radio reminded me it was 16 years after 9/11/01.

The morning almost slipped by without me remembering.
And I am someone who missed being at the World Trade Center that terrible morning only because of a schedule change.

I remember it like it was yesterday - and probably always will.

I remember it like yesterday,too.

But the last few days we've been trying find out what Irma was going to do and that's about all I've heard and I'm sick of it.

When 9/11 happened they were showing the impacts again and again. My little boy came in and sat down on the floor to watch TV. Suddenly they showed the clip yet another time. I didn't want him to see the carnage, but it was too late and I was a little upset that he had to see that. He was watching the picture with interest but when it hit he was visibly taken aback. He's almost 18 now and HE still remembers it like it was yesterday. We were both talking about it today and he described what we were doing perfectly.
