Either is fine for looks but if you are using your revolver for defense get something with some checkering on it. Perspiration is going to make those laminates slick in a confrontation and control of your gun will diminish.

I like both - if it's mostly shown off, the ruby/black. If seriously carried - the silver/black. I have both and like the contrasting laminate, myself. But my carry J's usually sport some sort of Goodyears . . . personal preference.

Welp. I just got off the phone with Gun Grip Supply and made my order.

I got these for the stainless steel model 649 Bodyguard...

And, I decided on these for the blued model 38 Airweight Bodyguard...

They should both be here by Tuesday!
