My local gun shop sells on consignment which, at times, can make for some really nice finds and really good deals! Well, someone just liquidated their S&W collection and it's sitting in my GS's case. I bought a 14-5 about a month ago in minty condition (except no original grips) and thats' when it started.... Now every time I drive by it's like a magnet pulling me in! I just put down another deposit to hold a 25-2 today (also in minty condition less the grips) and there's still others that are making voices in my head! I don't know what it is but that deep opalescent S&W blue has me in it's grip.... Is there something wrong with me?? Are there pills I can take to stop this madness??!!

Well, if you're looking for help her all I can say is you sound like an alcoholic going to the neighborhood bar for help with his problem.

You're normal. So am I.

The people who don't share our love for S&W revolvers are the ones with the problem.

Screw 'em, let's go buy another gun.

A good way to help cure your addiction is to let us know the name of the enabling LGS and we will quickly help them dispose of tempting little gems that are calling to you. You are in trouble...act quickly!!:D;) Bob

do you have another job to pay for the toys yet? if not, you may yet be saved.

Sounds like you are helping yourself... to the Smith's just fine. I would not look for others to help you unless they get to take some home too.

Drive by??? Sheesh, wait till you start buying stuff on the internet. :) I just bought another one yesterday. I bought my first vintage S&W revolver about a year ago...now I'm at 9. And that doesn't count all the other guns I've been buying.

Not every one will be as nice as that model 14 you bought, but they'll all be nice in their own way.

You are in the wrong place if you expect someone to feel sorry for you because you are sinking slowly into the quicksand called the S&W revolver disease. We all have it and you will get no relief here as we are all addicts like yourself for S&W revolvers.

The only cure is to buy another S&W revolver or sink down to Glockville where you can be lonely and lust plastic and in a sickenss nearly all your own.

You are doomed my friend. From now on every gun shop you will stop and look for your latest purchase. Your redrimmed eyes will spot another purchase faster than anyone else. Your stooped posture is from bending over so many gun cases. You've been spending your daily lunch money to further your collection hence the greyish look on your skin. I was once hail and hearty. My downfall was a S&W modl 10 for $100 I was a lost cause after that. Next was a model 36, then came the 624, then a 24-3 4" barreled 44 special, then came another 24-3 with 3" barrel and my last purchase was a model 15 in 38 special granted it had target trigger and hammer. I await with fear and trepidation as to what the next gun show might have. Might be another model 36 for the two gun concealed carry, might be a model 25 in 45acp or a 1917 45 acp. Ah the agony of it all. Frank

The biggest joke we all tell ourselves is something like "OK with the purchase of (insert your most recent purchase here) I am good for a while." Ha, I just bought a 5" 27-2 from a board member that I haven't even received yet. Gives me 27's in 4" 5" 6" and 8 3/8". A fairly representative group, I should be temporarly satisfied. I am watching a 6.5" on an auction sight now..............
