Mrs. is not happy with the tree trimming. Didn't consult her. Cut down half the tree???. Debris not removed.
Knee-jerk I know.
I was home alone with Boo while she was in Italy for 8 days. Took care of everything. Cleaned everything before she got home.
Picked her up yesterday p.m. and explained there were 2 small branch piles to be removed.

Married 26 years, together 37.

Still in the Dawghouse!:confused:
 
I just got the lights and ornaments put away! 9 mos will be here in about 9 weeks...:eek:
 
Kind of like leaving the dog locked up in the house and he tears the sofa apart.
That will teach her to leave for 8 days.

By the way, what did she think of the 'manscaping'?
 
Women can be difficult to understand...

Wife was visiting family up in Nashville last week when a tornado hit our area. She called and was quite concerned. I told her that me and Pugsters were fine but our roof and some other stuff will need to be replaced from hail damage. She sounded relieved and told me how much she loved me blah blah blah... then asked what I was going to do. I told her I was heading over to the range. All of a sudden she get's all huffy and asks why would I be going shooting at a time like this. I told her that the road to the highway was shut down so there was no way I could get to Hooters for a beer and wings. "Click". :confused:

Not that she'd notice and not that she'd care. You mean the work I did on the '76 Stingray? OH..... I know you mean

If my wife got an eight day vacation anywhere, without me, she would be ecstatic as long as I hadn't burned down the house. Come to think of it, maybe it was coming home that put her in the mood, and the tree was just a convenient excuse. ;)

Yeah, she probably found some young lover to take care of our trees better than me...:D
 
That sounds like my wife. She pays a guy out of her pocket to trim our trees and shrubs. Anything to keep me from doing it. I tried to explain that he does less so he can come back sooner 'cause he's getting paid. Since I'm not getting paid I try to make it last.:D:D:D
 
I used to live next door to a Psychologist, a very dignified-looking bald guy who looked the part, puffing on his pipe. One day, on a whim, he bought a small chain saw, and decided to even up the dozen small trees that lined his driveway.

I came home two hours after he started, and it was truly a Chainsaw Massacre. Piles of limbs were everywhere, a few upper boughs (that he couldn't reach) were all that remained, and when he saw me getting out of my car he yelped, "Sarge..........HELP ME! I Can't Stop!"

The trees never recovered, and were all removed the following spring.

Not surprised. My father was a professional arborist for 47 years. He had lots of stories of customers who would have him do a job... then call later on to say that a spouse was not happy with what hand been done. It is always very wise to check with everyone concerned before cutting trees, etc. You can always go back and cut more off. There is no glue for Tree Surgeons to reattach limbs, etc.
 
Guys it just seems to get worse as far as pleasing your wife. We have been married 50 years and it doesn't seem like I can do anything right anymore. She doesn't either.Makes for some pretty good arguments.

well .. when you cant seem to do anything right no matter how hard you try. your best bet is to try to be a screw up just to see if you can fail at that too

That's why we have a yard service.

She wants the tree(s) trimmed, she tells them, I just pay for it.

She buys new trees, she can mix the soil stuff the way SHE wants,

the yards guys will plant the trees WHERE SHE WANTS and I pay them.

Life is soo much easier that way. I just open the wallet and stay out

of their way enjoying life.

I don't see any issue...If asked, I will do the laundry....happened once.

Put the colored stuff right in with the whites... Hot wash and rinse. No fabric softener, high heat dry for a big load...

Will never be asked to do that again... Still got my Man card. :)
 
The laundry story reminds me...

A long time ago my wife decided that we should share the housework more equally (that means I do more). Among other things, it would be my job to unload the dishwasher. After a week she couldn't find anything in the kitchen. I was relieved of dishwasher duty. ;)
 
I never could understand the concept of washing the tupperware, before you threw it in the trash...

Wimmens, go figure...

I have been a tree trimmer for over 29 years. Heated battles with couples over tree work are a very common occurrence.One time a women interrupted me in the middle of removing her tree to tell me her husband will be home in an hour and will go nuts when he sees his tree is gone. needless to say I worked like crazy and got out of dodge. I felt bad for the guy.Cut down his favorite tree and he paid for it.
 
If and when this espisode dies down, consider installing lights, central heat and air, plus cable Tv in the doghouse. Then next time your stay in the doghouse won't be so bad.
