I Could Bust A Button!!!

Congratulations! Please thank him for his service.
I know how you feel. I got to swear my daughter in when she graduated from Navy OCS as a new Ensign. Very proud moment.

Cool!

He sounds like a brave and sharp one! Congratulations to you both!

I sent him this link and he things it was "cool"

I sat in church yesterday listening (Yesterday was All Saints Day BTW) - The sermen spoke of kids breaking glass in a building and how it made the news because of who's building it was, and how it effected the people who work there. But, as the sermen went, the news did not mention the many house spent cleaning up the glass from the street, or the hard work replacing the glass at night. My son is no saint, (although he is an Oblate of the Benedictine Order) - He is quietly cleaning up glass in the night and that makes me proud - ohhh there went another button ...

Rick,

Congratulations to your son, and you have every right to bust a button.

I had a very special privilage this week. My eldest son, 8 yrs in the Army, A Combat Airborn Medic, 2 tours in Iriq, was commissioned a 2nd LT. I got to pin his new bars on his coat. I could bust a button.

BTW, I'm the one on the left...
huge congrats headed your way!!:)
