I took my son, while home on leave, to buy a used car. He Dave Ramsey'd (paid cash) for a used 2015 Twin Turbo Mini Cooper (I've always loved the new ones). Well, after test driving his, I fell in love with it and decided to sell my truck and buy one too!
All the way home I was thinking about how much I could get for my truck?
When I got home I figured I'd crank it for the last time before listing it in the Truck Trader.
When that engine fired up and I heard that Hemi growl I thought, who in the hell was I fooling? I love this truck and it'd kill me if I sold it every time I'd see one go by me!
So, I made the decision not to buy any more guns this year and finally finish my project truck; hood scoop, headers, tuner, etc.
If I had been concentrating on my truck last year instead of the guns I bought, it'd been done by now.
This is my resolution for 2019.
Oh yeah, here's our young Marine, excitedly standing next to his new car (to him). Not very excited about the bow they put on it in make ready though.

Fine looking young man sir. Congrats to both of you.

As soon as you sell the truck you'll need it. Save the money on mods and buy yourself a Cooper?
Thank you, but that was the point. Once you drive a Hemi Ram, nothing else compares if you're a Dodge truck guy. The truck is never used for anything but cruising anyway, the bed has a BedRug.
The wife complains I bought a truck I couldn't haul anything in and my response is "It hauls azz and all that matters."

I don’t really want to buy a Mini-
But I wish I could drive one!
When I had my BMW Z3, went to a reunion in Vegas.
That Beemer killed my back!
When I got home, went to a chiropractor.

I have what I consider the best of both worlds
4x4 crew cab truck
AND
Mini Cooper S convertible

This time next week the Mini and I will be on our way to Nashville.
Because I can only hit "like" once!
The S would be the one I'd want and to make it a convertible would be the best!

Once you get used to a truck you cant go back to a car, sitting low you cant see as well and with a Mini its like sitting on the ground.

With a MINI and the 6-speed, you simply go around anything in your way; at a rapid rate of speed. I had the last year of the Superchargers; that thing was a blast to drive. Getting it up around 100 or so, drop it from 6th to 5th or 4th and hold on tight!
Cornered like a rocket on rails, something no truck of mine could even dream of doing.

I recently bought a new 2018 Ram and I really like it a lot! It only has a 6 banger but with 305 hp its plenty fast and has great handling and gets 20 mpg in the city and is smoother than my wife's Infinity QX 50 SUV. I don't know how I would get by without a pickup truck but occasionally I might like to go REALLY fast so I borrow my wife's car and it will flat out fly!

6cyl @ 305hp amazing what they achieve now, with great gas mileage to boot!
All right guys, threads suck w/o pictures!
Let's see em if you've posted a comment so far, please.

Well you guys need to drive the car that the UK should have made, the Mazda Miata. My 2013 has all of 12K miles on it (6 speed box and AC). Now I can safely say my opening sentence as when in the UK I owned an MG TC, then over here, a Triumph Spitfire. The Miata out performs even the original Mini's in cornering. I picked up the MX5 with all of 800 miles on it and 3 years sitting in a garage in FL and then PA. Do not have to worry (in general) if I forget to lock it, as most of the scum who want to steal cars cannot drive a stick shift. Nothing like putting the roof down and enjoying the sights. Particularly as I will reach 80 this year and people get slightly envious of this "old gray-haired and bearded geezer" driving a sports car!! Dave_n

You won't be sorry.....

The first time you haul something that is too big to haul in the Mini you'll be glad you kept it.....

Honestly, I like the Minis, too. I don't know how practical it would be for me but I'll be in the market for a new used car when the caddy is ready to go. My wife likes it, but I think she'd be happy with something less big and more economical.

When my Dodge Caravan got wrecked I took the insurance money and went to Enterprise Rent a Car and bought one of their low mileage jobs.:)

I wish your son many happy and safe miles in his new auto.

Keep your truck, and add a motorcycle. Nothing on 4 wheels compares to the 2 wheel experience. MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) class is a good way to get started.

I'd love a bike, but we have way too many old, blue haired women driving around here. lol

pawngal, it won't let me "quote" you, but...
Nice collection there pawngal! Really love the MG and the color too. Have a safe trip by the way.
