Today I was honored and chosen as the Officer of the Quarter by my agency.

I had three of the investigators nominate me and needless to say I am quite humbled and thrilled to have been chosen.

It was presented to me at the Leader's Meeting where command staff and supervisor meet monthly. The entire investigator division was there as well for the presentation.

Sorry no pictures, the industrial strength camera has been misplaced.

As far as the camera, someone took it home to take pics of their girlfriend and hasn't brought it back yet......it will show up "magically" pretty soon:)
 
Congratulations. Makes all the late nights and early mornings and bad coffee almost worth it. When your peers nominate and think you are doing your job well, it really does make you feel good. Bosses and administrators, well, that's OK too, but your peers are what counts. Good job and again, congrats.
 
Congratulations. It is great to hear one of the good guys getting some recognition for a good job than being singled out by a dirtbag for something that never happened.

It isn't bragging if a bunch of colleagues set you up for recognition without your knowing about it; in that case it's just "news."

Congratulations, it's always good to be recognized by peers and co-workers. It don't hurt to have the brass know your name either - especially for doing a good job.

Brag all you want it sounds like you earned it. It feels good to achieve and I think it is very normal to want to share that achievement with others. Congrats.:)
 
Guess that means you get to bring the donuts for the coming quarter. :D
Seriously though, awards like that from your peers do mean a lot.
I got second place one time on a vote of MY peers-everyone else tied for First :eek:
