Went to the indoor range today and put 120 rounds through my new .40c. Wow, is all I can say. The 40c does have a slight snappiness but its totally manageable. The gun just spit all those rounds through it and asked for more. If someone were to ask me if I was happy with my selection I would calmly say "hell yeah I'm happy with my pistol selection".:D The only thing I would change are the sights. Being a first time user having 3 white dots just jumbles everything together. Their isn't really any distinction for me, while looking down the sights. What would be a good replacement set of sights for me to invest in? Or, should I just stay with the factory sights?

I am not sure I have factory sights on all my M&P's except for night sights that came with one of my 45's so now I am used to them, my Glock G26 has what I call field Goal sights but now I am more used to the three dots, just remember that with an M&P to line those three dots up with the actual target and not the six o'clock like you would with most other pistols!

the white dot came out of my front sight. So i degreased it and used a little florescent yellow model paint in there.. Works great!

I had the same issue with the sights on my M&P. Once I started using them correctly though I have found out that I love them. I have a spare 10-8 rear sight lying around, I never really liked the 10-8 sight at all. I also love my talon grips on my 40c, makes the recoil much more manageable. Give talon grips a look (just google it), they're inexpensive and their customer service is untouchable.

I actually was really thinking about ordering a set for my 40c. They come in two different styles though. Which set do you have?

Snappy little beastie, for sure, but easily managed after a few hundred rounds. I really like the trigger on mine. Carries well in my Lobo Leather pancake, with a longish jacket.

Try blacking out the dots on the rear sight. That may be an improvement for you. I opened up the rear sight and removed the white outline on a Glock, and I can really pick up the sights now.
