The last couple of weeks have been good to me. I have found a couple of good ones for the collection! First came the best one, a 32 Regulation Police Target made in 1957 with pre war parts. One of 196 guns made in 657xxx serial numbers and it came with the original box!

Second came a 22/32 Heavy Frame

Great stuff, Joe. I especially like the pre/post RP target.

very nice. the stars alined twice. you'll use up all your good fortune for the year if you aren't careful.

I love that .32 RP Target. Great condition. Sure would look nice in my rack also. Wish my stars would align like that.

Joe do i get a finders fee for the 32/20?:)

The .32 RP is very nice as is the box!!!

PS. I didn't get that other one we where talking about:(

I too was fortunate in picking up a Regulation Police target # 657356 which puts it almost at the end of the production run.My info. shows ser. range from 657174 -657369.Mine is also absolutely NIB.The factory letter shows a ship date of 1959.Unfortunately I have no camera for pix.

A couple of very nice revolvers, you are a fortunate man.

WOW Joe, that .32 target is gorgeous. Been looking for something like that for years and you found it almost in my back yard. You'll have to bring it to the next NE OHIO Bunch. (which the date will be set soon) Nice catch, Larry

Dazzling and pristene! First original box I've seen for the post war RP target. A very interesting and late transitional model. The only I frame target with pre war barrel and rear sight other than the 22/32 Transitional KIt Gun, to my knowledge. Did you happen to get the SAT to fit the pre war sight with it? Thanks for making my day.

My RP Target is not near as nice as that!

I've only seen those four-inch RP targets in pictures. As a committed lover of adjustable-sight .32 revolvers, I hope to have one in the safe some day. Excellent acquisition!

Real nice 32 reg. target. But I prefer the 22-32 target. Have had several over the years, a real nice trail gun. Yeah, your stars were in alignment for sure.

Talk about alignment... there are far more of the .22 I-frames out there in target configuration than the .32s. I believe the folks that were buying the .22s in this size were more likely to want them for target shooting (since this was the reason a "heavy frame" .22 was built) than wanted the more utilitarian .32 for that purpose, so fewer were built. For me, that target .32 is in the category of "Grail Gun" as it is in both a more rare caliber and in great condition. I'd be proud to have it in my collection any time! Great find!
