I haven't posted in awhile so I thought I'd line them up and post this pic in hopes of seeing others small collections.
I know they're not all Smiths but they're what I got and I like them all.

686-3, 4" Kimber Pro Carry

I haven't taken a group photo in a while. I needed a new one.

Photobucket is junk. All ads, slow as hell and I couldn't rotate the picture. Anyways,

franzas, That is a nice group you have there. How do you like that RI 1911, 10mm?

Thank you.

For a $700 gun, it's not bad. I hate the tacticool rail, but I figured the extra weight would balance out the 10. It's pretty tight and has a good trigger. The sights are something to be desired, albeit better than other entry-level 1911s.

The only issues/problems I've come across are:
It needs a heavy spring (26#) and a buffer to handle hot loads and not tear up your brass
It throws brass about 20 yards
It needs a stiff (like Wolff extra power) magazine spring to feed properly
Once in a while the slide release would get hung up trying to rack it without a magazine, but a little filing fixed this.
Overall, these issues are manageable, but the slide release is the only glaring problem (but not really, since it doesn't affect functionality).

It shoots GREAT. It loves handloads; better accuracy with them than factories.

Overall, I'd buy it again.

How does that Pro Carry, carry with those grips? It's been a setup I've been wanting to add to my small collection.

It carries real well with these and fits my hand perfectly. Keeps my hand in the perfect position for me and so now my only excuse is my old eyes.
