I don't know where I was exposed but I seem to have caught the S&W break top virus. I already have one .32, but my primary interest is in the .38s. Is there a better place to hunt for these other than gun shows? You know, a secret fishing hole? I thought of attempting to court little old ladies, but, well, never mind. I just want the guns. ;-)

The Secrete hole is right here on the S&W site ...

Post a " Want To Buy " notice in the Classified Section ...

Then sit back and the offers will come to you !

I'd love to have an S&W top break in .32. My only one is an Iver Johnson that belonged to my great uncle. It's a cool, TINY gun! I'll post a pic when I can.

My dream is a Bicycle gun, but I can't bring myself to lay down the ducats for one!

The top breaks never really interested me, but just yesterday, I bought my second in a little over a week.

The first was a .38 S&W Double Action, 2nd Model from 1884 bought at the local sheriff's auction for $260 (right at $300 with buyer's premium and 3% CC fee). The second, which I have to wait to be transferred across state lines, is a .32 Safety Hammerless, 3rd Model, which cost me about $550, OTD.

While I have several I-frames and improved I-frames in .32 S&W Long and plenty of guns in .38 Special, these are my first chambered for the older, shorter, cartridges. I recently came into a partial box of .32 S&W at a pretty low price, but now I have to find some .38 S&W.

The quest for .38 S&W ammo may be your pathway to reloading. Factory loads are outrageously priced, and it's an easy round to reload. Once you procure the brass (Starline) & projectiles (Missouri Bullet Co.), you're on easy street.
