A while back perusing a local gun shop, one of the few that maintains a considerable inventory of used.

I spot a Browning Twelvette in the rack behind the counter.
The counter help hands it to me, I'm floored

It is instant time machine for me back to the skeet fields of the 1950's and 60's.,
my Father had me on the fields at 9 years old. He shot an Autumn Brown Twelvette.

It's fitted out with the rage of the times, a Poly Choke or a Cutts.
I know that's poison in today's world, but, this example, in about every aspect could pass as unfired. It dates to manufacture 1960.

Just a stunning example.

I guided goose hunters in Southern Illinois 20+ years ago, right when Benelli Super Black Eagles started becoming all the rage. A few of the old timers still hunted with the rage of their day, the Browning Auto 5. They all had ploychokes too. Cool gun and great find!
