I have a chance to buy a Colt Python

"Works perfectly" means nothing more or less that "works as it should". If there is something truly wrong with a sight (that's part of the gun), then the gun doesn't work perfectly.

The sights work, they are just chintzy and you need a tiny allen wrench to adjust them.

I'm going for the python. I don't have any real responsibilities to worry about other than dental (my teeth was damaged in a car accident). My car is running just fine. I replaced the water pump today and that's all that is wrong with it. I'm not doing anything with my Torino until I have a proper place to work on it. All and all I'm pretty good.

About the single action trigger pull. I never use single action. I taught myself never to use it. Unless I'm going for long range shooting. Like beyond 25 yards. Im going to replace the stocks anyway.

I found a new Colt Python on my way to the range yesterday.
The gun clubs owner has it in stock and will hang on to it if I put a little down. It's a 4.25 model. I always wanted a python. But I always wondered how one would compare to my 686 plus pro series revolver. I wasn't able to buy it yet. But I can tell the revolver earned it hefty price tag. The gun is a work of art. I'm going to see if I can somehow afford to get it in layaway or something.
This gun It's prettier than my former crush. I'm sure it won't be a disappointment.

Go for it and you won't be disappointed. The Python is a wonderful weapon and you it will not lose value over the years.

It won't shoot any better than your 686 but you will get a lot of joy from it.

If you've got the funds get it.
