I could join other Model 19 threads here, but I was at the LGS picking up my CMP 1911. And my first snub came home with it. A Field Grade RR frame with a Colt slide and a very shooter grade 19-3. Cleaned, lubed and brought to the range yesterday. What a pair of amazing tools!

Yesterday I finally got to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department to pick up vouchers for all 6 of the, New To Me, handguns that I have purchased while on Lock Down here on Long Island. 5 Of them should be on my permit by Monday. Mostly Smiths

Thank goodness that we are opening up here before I go broke!

Thank you and I'm not stopping! The issue is I haven't acquired a rifle since: a pre-15, a Swiss M29 Luger, a pre-18, a Colt 357,
a CZ RAMI and now these two. I'm afraid I have to go shopping again :D.

Very nice 1911, like most I'm sure you're glad to have it in hand after a very long wait. I picked up my CMP 1911 a few months ago, my number was 10462.

Got a Buddy still on the list and still waiting, would you mind saying what your CMP Lottery Number was? Curious if he is getting close.

Thanks! My number was 13139.

TeamPB, if you only have a few guns, those two would be high on the list of the ones you would "need" to have. A workhorse semi-auto and a revolver with adjustable sights in 38/357 caliber... a guy could get a good 22 to go with them and never need more guns. But then again, where would the fun be in stopping at just two or three? :D

Regardless, congratulations on two superb acquisitions. Enjoy them to the max!

Join us for treatment sessions of "HAS." Handgun acquisition syndrome.
There is currently no known cure and group therapy, on this forum, has little effect.

Good luck and nice acquisitions!

Uhhh, I have never known of anyone on this forum to discourage a new acquisition. If you are trying to kick the habit, forgetting your forum log-in info is the first step to wellness!;)

I'm averaging about 5-6 per year, I'll stop when I die.

I feel ya!
Too much free time on my hands - dangerous. I've now picked up 6 guns during the Kung Flu lockdown, 5 are Smith revolvers, the 6th is a 9mm AR pistol.
