I have reached a conclusion...

Not sure foot position and stance would help with the stinging pain in my hand.

The 4" version? Here's how I got it...

It dates from around 1976 and I got it 3 years ago in new condition. Original owner never shot it and I bought it from his daughter after he passed. There's a lesson there, somewhere. Here it is out of the box...

I LOVE the M-29 and, while I'm not a big fan of the shorter barrels, (less than 6"), That Sir,, IS a Purty Gun!!!!! ;)

All that has been said about recoil in these calibers I totally agree with both positive and negative.. To a point...... I am a FIRM believer in every gun has the perfect round to satisfy the shooters need for both accuracy AND shooter comfort!! Ya just gotta find what the gun likes to fire!!! ;)

I can shoot one cylinder full of full power .44 magnum into a coffee cup size group with my 3" M29-3 at seven yards DA. If I shoot anything else after that, it is a waste of ammo due to the subsequent flinching.
I now shoot this revolver with hand loads consisting of seven grains of WST with a 240 grain SWC bullet in Magnum cases. Much easier to deal with.
