Hello,

I have started a list of the Brownell's MagnaTip bits I have in my own personal inventory. (Master Set + Thin Bits + S&W Revolver).

If anyone wants what I have, let me know. If anyone has a more extensive list, let me know ... I would like to get a list of all the bits they have so I can make sure to expand the inventory.

Also, Lee valley Tools makes a magnetic wood handle screwdriver handle where the magnetic screw in tight and it works GREAT as a handle. "Veritas Magnetic Screwdriver Handle"

You can download a list of all their bits with dimensions. I made my own "speciality" sets several years ago for the guns I own.

When I ordered the Brownell's set many years ago I ordered the S&W set, the Colt set, the Browning set, a set for Marlin and Winchester that I just figured out myself since there was no official set, etc. I wound up with the lions share of their Master set and should have just ordered that in the first place. Buy once - cry once. Actually, their price on the Magna-tip screwdrivers is pretty reasonable and their quality is IMHO the best available. BTW, their Phillips screwdrivers have what Snap-on calls "posi-drive' which is a non slip feature and they are excellent! So good in fact that I purchased 3 sets of their Phillips screwdrivers (as regular screwdrivers) and have the 3 sets in different places. Most guns do not have Phillips screws, but I use them on everything else! I own many Snap-on screwdrivers and feel that Brownell's Phillip sets are better than Snap-On's!! They are less likely to deform on the tip, last longer, work better and IMHO are just better steel. Compared to other high quality screwdrivers, the Brownell's are actually quite reasonable and carry a lifetime warranty.

BTW - what the call their "Law Enforcement Magnetic Handle is the best of the lot IMHO. I also have two other lengths - a long one and a super snubby one. All 3 get used, however for guns the Law Enforcement, magnetic version is the work horse.

Another fan of Brownells screwdriver bits. I agree with chief38, the law enforcement handle is the best of the bunch.

Over time, I've collected a variety of bits. Thin ones, thick ones and some specialty bits for scope rings etc. I've outgrown the box my original kit came in. I'd like to see Brownells come out with an oversized box to keep all this stuff in. As far as I can tell, they only offer standard size boxes.

I have the Master set, along with the S&W and Glock bit sets. Have yet to need anything else, but I’m sure that’s coming. I agree that the Law Enforcement length handle is the best thing since sliced bread and canned beer. I also have the stubby handle, and I haven’t seen a need for the full size handle. Yet . . .
