That's according to my sister. She texted me yesterday and said she and her husband saw the new Midway movie. Said it was excellent and gave her a perspective of what our GI's went through in WWII. Our Dad was at the Battle of the Bulge, and her deceased Father-in-Law was also in WWII.

I texted back and said I would not watch it because that jerk Woody Harrelson was in it, and I can't stand Socialist actors or people for that matter.

She then texted back and said "I should be more tolerant of other people's views". I said "no way, I'm 76 years old and am not about to change".:D
She also mentioned that some members of our family are not of our political persuasion, and asked if I disliked them too. I said, "no, I can tolerate them to a certain point".;)
She texted back and said "we love you". I didn't answer back.

I am 101% with you Mr. Graf. Tolerance of these people, their actions and what they are doing to us is what has brought us to where we are today. I for one am more than a little beyond fed up with them, and tolerate is something I refuse to do. To tolerate is to enable, I say throw it right back at them.

Re: Actors, movies. Not worth arguing about. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce

I'm the same. I don't give a rat's about a performer's politics or personal habits provided they play the role well for the duration of the movie. Once the credits roll most of them are of no further interest.

bgrafsr,

Your sister is a gracious lady.

She wanted to share a sentiment with you
about the sacrifices of war.

You are lucky to have her.

I know. She is the youngest of 9 siblings, I'm the oldest. We get along great, as do all of us siblings. I like to yank chains once in a while though, and I do love them all as well.

They are actors, not used to reality. Hollywood is all make believe, the actor tries to be the person they are playing. I don't care one whit for what their political views are and would suggest that I am more knowledgeable on the subject.

People like DiNiro or Streisand, are excellent in their skill, no so much in their personal views. I do admit to avoid anything with Jane Fonda or Julia Roberts in it.
