I lost my Dad, my hunting partner, last month.

Was/is hard to talk about, but thought you'd all understand.

I had told here of his recent 70th Anniversary, with my Mom, in May.

He was more then my father (and hunting partner), but I'm sure many of you will understand that.

My Dad did not graduate High School, yet ran his own businesses (with my Uncle, who was awarded the Bronze Star in WWII) until his retirement, and I can tell you that he knew more about running a business (and managing people) then almost any/all MBA's I've ever known/met.

You have my condolences, and prayers. My Dad was 95 when he crossed over in Dec 2015, I miss him everyday. I was his youngest and we had a great relationship, friends as well as Father and son.

I have to say losing a parent is one of the toughest things in life to experience. Mom passed away only about a year after dad. I don't go to funerals anymore.

I read your father's obituary. He sounds like a fine man and an upstanding member of his community and church. Someone I'd probably liked to have known. I know you are proud of him. I like it that memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Dessin Animal Shelter.

Sorry at the loss of your father.
A source of wisdom, fear, knowledge and support like no other.
I find my self to this day wondering "What would Dad do?".
He passed May of '10 and I miss him every damn day.

Sorry about the loss of your Dad. You were blessed to have him around so long.

My Dad died at the young age of 49 from a stroke, in 1953, I still miss him.

Spiritually, your father is not gone, he dwells in the hearts and minds of those he left behind. And though the pain will diminish with time, it will never completely leave until you are reunited, at which time it will dissipate completely. God bless you and your family.

I lost my father in August 1979. I know it may not mean much to you at this time but you are lucky sir.
