It's been a rough fall for me as some of you know. I lost my best friend and constant companion in September, and now on New years eve, my dad died as well. It will be a rough few weeks ahead of us trying to deal with his loss, and taking care of his affairs.

I appreciate all the great folks here on this forum, who always are there to lend support to another member when the chips are down.

My dad will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in the fact that he was a born again Christian, and is now in Heaven with the rest of his family.

He went into the hospital on monday morning with some chest pains, but on Tuesday seemed to be his old self again. Yesterday he wasn't doing as well, and today he really slipped fast. By around 5:30 they were making plans to take him to ICU to better care for him. While they were shifting him from one bed to the other, he crashed and flatlined, and they were unable to revive him. He died about 6:00 pm.

Thanks for letting me vent once again.

I am so very sorry for your loss, and I personally don't know what I would do without my dad, but I along with a multitude of the members here are here for you, if you need us.

Nine years and twenty seven days since mine passed.
As I'm sure you've gathered from that, it's easily forgotten...

You have my deepest heartfelt condolences for your loss. In talking to you over the past year I have an idea of how close you two were and cant even imagine what you are going through now. It will be a tough road for a while, but just know I am but a phone call away and you can call me anytime.

I'm so sorry about your Dad. It will be 35 years this April 15 since my Dad died. I was not quite 15 at the time. I miss him every day, and I wish I could share things with him. I hope to see him again someday. I hope you and your family can find peace in this trying time.

Best,

Dwight

My sincere condolences, may your faith give you strength, your memories comfort, & Gods love give you peace.

Man that's tough! Glad you posted this as many here (myself included) will have you and your family in our prayers.

Take care.

Prayers sent for your Dad, yourself and family.

I, too, will remember you (and your father) in my prayers.
I hope you get through this better than I probably will when the time comes.

Hang in there.

I can't imagine the loss. You have my deepest sympathies and prayers for you and yours.

I still have my Dad and Mom. Dad's 80 and Mom's 81. I'm so close to my Dad (He's still my Top Hero and all around great guy) that the thought of someday losing him is horrible.

Peace,

Hold a memory.............

Hold a memory of a time when only the two of you existed and keep him in your heart and mind 'til you meet again.............God speed..............Sprefix

I'm sorry for your loss, fellow Born Again Christian. As you know, he is with the Lord now, according to our faith, and you will see him again.

Still . . . I know it hurts really bad. I lost my dad on 12-28-2002 and there's not a day that goes by that I do not think of him very, very fondly.

My two brothers and I got together last Dec. 27th and spent some fine time talking about him and the kind of man he was. I think Dad would be pleased we are still close.

Hang in there, and God will comfort you in your time of great loss, and heal your hurt.

My prayers and thoughts will be with you!

Tom
