Since this is an Airweight J-Frame I will assume it is your CARRY GUN. Carry guns are going to get scratched, dented, and will have normal wear & tear inflicted on them, so I would not get to bent out of shape with the damage you have shown in your photo. Actually the repair job you showed in the first photo is not half bad (for a carry gun). I personally would chalk it up to a learning experience and just touch it up as best as you can. If this were a collectible or a prized target gun I would be more upset and probably have to get it refinished, but in this case I would just grin & bear it. Just my .02 cents............
