I need a "Double" !!

When it rains , it pours..........................

Oil furnace has been burning dirty , so I called up a service to come give it a check-up
and get it running good again.

Service man shows me a bucket with #2 heating oil and water and ? in the bottom of the bucket.
"You got problems, man"

He told me to not fire up the furnace until I got the oil take fixed.
I called the #1 oil drain in Reno but thet were 48 hours out.
However they did give me a 2nd # to see if I could get the water removed from
my fuel tank so I could have heat in the house.

They twisted arms and legs and got a service truck out to my house
on the short notice to get er done............

I know I paid for a furnace service job and a water pump removal, in order for my furnace to be in working order.............

but some times you have to just bite the bullet if you don't stay on top of things and let
yearly service jobs slip by to save a buck.................

WAKE UP............ and smell the roses.

Buried tanks are much prettier to the eye than interior or above ground but they do have a cost.

Had to pay 1500 bucks to have the buried oil tank pumped and removed at my NY house before I could complete the sale. Much happier and cheaper running a heat pump in SC.

Know a guy in upstate NY who had his own gas well (guess there's natural gas up there). Free gas heat.

Ed it sounds like you need to head for the reloading room and make a few, always helps me. By the way, what was ? in the bucket?

Since no one in Reno is smart enough to analyze what is in oil, now....

The fuel companies or repairmen had no idea who might do it.
There was one gentleman but he retired and that was four years ago.

I am guessing water and a second type of oil, since the #2 heating oil,
for the furnace, is light pink in color.

Had 5-6 gallons of water removed from my tank.
I will remove the rust from the pipe threads, get a new cap and wrap the
pipe with that white plastic wrap, before putting the new, clean, cap on
with some oil, to try to prevent a water issue.

Just glad it did not turn into a nasty, major, money investment.
