I had to make a road trip for work, and when I do, I always like to see what I can find out on the road. I found this LH 624 and a fixed sight 1006 and made a package deal on them. I’ll post about the 1006 in the proper forum.

Well, I hate the fact it has the rubbers on it, but there’s no pitting under them. The seller seemed a little incensed that I wanted to pull the pach’s off to check, but I was happily surprised that no pitting was evident. No box or original stocks, but I think I can dig some combats out of my spare stocks bin. Asking was $1100 on the 624 and $1K on the 1006 and he accepted my offer of $2K for the pair. Not a stellar deal, but both pieces are exceptionally clean and well cared for, and I wasn’t looking to insult the gentleman.

I’ll post some more pictures after I find my spare combats and put them on.

I put some Culina Combats on it for a new pic. Here’s the letter from Earl and a pretty cool ad for the Lew Horton 624.
