Since these days 95% of my shooting is .38/357 I promised myself I would not buy anymore 44 magnums. The 2 I have don't get shot enough. Well today I saw this gorgeous Model 29-3 in my favorite shop and since I didn't have one with 8 3/8" Barrel, I decided to break my promise just once! The beautiful Combat grips really helped push me over the edge. The nickel is flawless. Looks like it's only been fired a few times. I will certainly cure that this weekend

I see why you broke your promise!
You're forgiven as far as I'm concerned! [emoji6]

Hey, it's not like you went looking for trouble, right? :D

You're going to enjoy shooting that!

A good friend shoots a 29-3 and it is very accurate. They get a bad rap for not being P&R but you can't see that when looking down the sights. Vert sharp gun. You did well.

That makes them more affordable.

You can load up some 180 grain cast bullets at 700 fps and snuggle it into your range bag between the .38s that you shoot 95% of the time. Your .38s will be glade to make room.

All I got with my 8 3/8" nickeled 29-3 was the seller's rattiest set of Targets. Fortunately their wear and tear contrasts with an other wise excellent looking 29-3. P&R always were non-functional sales gimmicks. Not having them just makes it more likely that you'll do more target shooting with it.
