Buddy in the UK had a Cockatoo that had a thing about feet, and she knew we hid them in shoes. She would come along and start tugging at your laces hoping that your feet would appear.

We have a 26 year old African gray that loves to aggravate our dog. We've lost 2 good GS dogs since we had the bird, and he grieved as much as we did. One of his favorite things is saying "There's a squirrel!" and watch the dog run to the window and then he laughs.

We need a short clip of him doing this. That is hilarious!!!

I think I know how you can stop him/her from pulling strings...

A girlfriend of mine had an African Gray that would ask the cat, "Do you want to go out, Schroder?" when it approached the door to the backyard.

The first time I heard it, it gave me chills...until I realized that it was mimicking her mother who would say it regularly (unbeknownst to me at the time.)

It also went into a soliloquy whenever the phone rang...mimicking her mother's past phone conversations. It was bizarre.

Oh, yeah, it went after my feet once when it saw I wasn't paying attention. :p
