I saw Hacksaw Ridge to a packed house this morning.

GREAT MOVIE - REAL HERO

"An American War Hero Who Refused to Fight".

I went to movie Tuesday evening instead of watching election returns.

Bekeart

Well actually he didnt refuse to fight. He fought to save lives and later-to save souls.

The wife and I decided to go and see Hacksaw Ridge today as part of our Veterans Day celebrations. I thought it was a great movie with a very meaningful story and was based on a true story of CMH winner. She had the day off and we spent most of the day together with all of the free offers of food for Vets. We had breakfast and dinner together and it only cost for her meals. I even was given a Bud Lite at dinner for free. It was nice to spend such a meaningful day with her.

Im seeing it again today. Went and bought a ticket-they gave out flag pins on a round Hacksaw Ridge-advertised cardboard disc. They were doing that to honor Vets.

Yes they were giving out the flag pins on the card when we went yesterday. It was a great movie to see on veterans day and the pin went right on my Army ball cap.

Ill put mine on on my cap with Molon Labe patch-and Pro Gun patch soon as I get home.

Saw it last night after sitting in a stand "unsuccessfully" hunting deer all day.......they gave out the flag pins & an abridged version of the book about Desmond Doss. Folks gave an ovation at the end of the movie.:)

Saw it again on Sat-again to a packed house and this time I had the priviledge to start the clapping at the end.

My wife hosted her book club last Friday, thus giving me the opportunity to see Hacksaw Ridge in a packed movie house instead of later on in my tv room by myself. (The wife doesn't do war movies.)

I thought the movie was excellent and in my opinion will be added to any must see list involving war movies. The story was inspiring and the action intense. Hollywood politics not withstanding it would be ashame to miss this cinematic history lesson.

I wish the filmmakers would do it as it was-meaning--not taking away from his exploits.

As an actor and a director, Gibson is good. As a human being and a person, he is a ***.

I took my wife and my 21 yr old and 16 yr old daughters to see the movie last night. They didn't want to see a war movie but I talked them into it and they all liked it a lot. I thought it was very well done, the only thing that bugged me was that the soldiers didn't use their sights very much. Several people applauded at the end of the movie and I don't remember that happening in ANY movies of the last 20 years.

Are people aware that Pvt Doss spent 5 years in hospital as a result of his injuries. He paid a high price for his courage.

Im lkiking this post for the info I had not known. I need to learn more about him too.
