Thought this article was interesting, hybrid Polar/Grizzly Bears. Whether you lean towards global warming from the Left (man caused) or Right (natural variations in the environment), there is definitely a warming effect going on. There may soon be Grizz (or some kind of hybrid) in a neighborhood near you :O

'Polar bear hybrid' shot in Canada - BBC News

Big Bores, Big Bores...Getcher Big Bores Here!!!

Oh, BTW, Pizzly identifies the daddy as a Polar, Grolar would ID the daddy as a Grizz.

There was a case documented several years ago of one such bear that was killed in Canada if I'm remembering right.. it could have been Alaska.. & they tested it genetically & found that it was a hybrid grizzly/polar...apparently it doesn't happen too often...

While the ice packs on both poles have set new records for each of the last several years in both area & thickness.....they are blaming global warming for this hybrid too....

Anyone remember several years ago, when the Russian survey ship off Antarctica that was trapped by the ice pack...& then several ice breakers/rescue ships were in turn trapped by the record breaking ice packs... Yet the media kept claiming that global warming & climate change was causing massive melt offs of the ice at both poles.

We've had a Polar bear in Atlanta for years.

So someone please help me out here. Would the offspring have a better attitude or be grumpier than a full blood of either?

Well, following Mendelian Genetics, some would strongly favor one parent or the other, some would be a varying combination of the two. My guess is the ones with the worst attitudes (ie: those offspring getting the most aggressive behavior patters from both parents) would flourish. Darwinian survival of the fittest theory.

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
