Nice looking pistol. Great lines. Do you plan to shoot it? How does it feel in your hand? Congratulations on a nice "get". Wonder how many of our troopers are carrying the exact same model in Afganistan?

Yes I plan to shoot it!! :) Feels great too. It's been on my list for a while. We have a new gun shop in town and their Grand Opening was Saturday. Picked it up today. :D Thanks!

Nice piece. Congratulations!

Don't worry about the Benjamins. Remember, guns will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no guns.

My Beretta 92FS is almost my favorite 9mm...but it hasn't quite replaced the Browning HiPower in my heart. Still, the 92FS is an accurate, reliable, smooth-shooting machine.
I have no doubt it would be one of the last pistols I would part with.

Another Beretta fan here. Nice score.

I just retired mine...tomorrow, I take my class with the P2000 and it will ride in my duty rig...I like the Beretta, but I wanted to lighten up my belt and have the same gun for on duty/off duty.

Nothing your with a good 92F. Will own one some day but other guns keep me on the path.

Aloha,

Besides Smiths, we are a Beretta family.

Even tho the grips are large and the Wife has small hands, she has adjusted and does well with her 380, 9mm and 40 cal. Berettas.

I just added a 22 top end kit made by Beretta for the 92/96s. Shoots great out of the box. So good that I just bought another 96 Centurion to make a dedicated large frame 22. Beretta has designed the 22 mag well and even includes a mag loader with the kit. Easier and faster to load than the M & P 15-22.

The only thing that will make a Beretta choke is crappy ammo. Otherwise, we have never had a problem with all of ours. Berettas are
probably the Most reliable, trouble free semi auto I have ever shot.

She has a Beretta 20 ga O/U and we have matching His n Hers 20 ga semi auto Beretta.

Can you tell we like Berettas?

Nice looking !

I ve worked on Berettas and while I am not a huge fan of them, I keep having an urge to buy one...... don't know why.... but it must be that they are growing on me.

Good pick ! Congrats.

If it's not asking too much, could you snap me a photo of the sights picture and the front sight? I had one 20 years ago, just before moving down here and am trying to remember what the issue sights were like. Thanks. Nice gun.

By the way, I shot mine a lot in the year and a half I used it, using Canadian Forces issue 9 m.m. (the stuff in the boxes marked "For S.M.G. Only" and had no problems with it at all). And no, my slide did not separate.

cracked slides are an old wives tale on berettas,,the slide issue was on 92 f models,,it has been fixed on the 92 fs models,im not saying that you cant crack a slide on a beretta,,but its not nearly as common as people make it out to be. glocks blow up in your hand way more than beretta slides crack....

I was issued a new 92FC in 1988 when my department went to the Beretta nines. When I retired from LE I bought it. Today, it performs as well as it did fresh out of the box, new. A great hand gun.

96g Centurion owner.I like mine overall length comparable with the 59 series. I just need to find a iwb holster

I have owned three, a 92F and two 92FS's. Very nice guns but extremely large. The best holster I found for CC under a jacket was the Galco CM202. Factory and MecGar magazines worked best for me.

My 92 F is/was my first semi auto and the one I qualified for my CCW with and, I must say it's gonna be a keeper unless I find someone who wants to trade a compact for it. The previous owner treatred it like crap and it is a little rough looking on the outside but it still shoots like new.

**Range Report of Sorts**

Got some range time today. Took the 92FS and my XD40. 5" splat targets @ 15 yrds...

It wasn't the most accurate day of shooting on my part, but sure beat the hell out of working!! :)

Loved the Beretta!!! It shoots dead on when I don't force it to do otherwise! ;) A keeper for sure.

Great day!!!

I have to admit I like Beretta 92s... a little bit. :o

I found if you can get a decent trigger on one, if it fits your hand, and if you can find ammunition that it particularly likes, they can be fairly accurate - at least minute-of-fruitcake-can accurate out to 25 yards or so. :D

Nice looking 92, and congrats on your new toy. :)

I have some fond memories

of the old M9 too!! I did however still complain that the Corps didn't still use the .45!!!!
