Actually, I happen to have two Model 645's. Both are used and without box and papers, so both are actually shooter grade, but one has hardly a scratch on it and appears to have been shot very little. The other one had the right side safety lever removed and the drum milled flat, the receiver is stamped with police department markings, and it has tons of scratches, scuffs, and was shot a fair amount. The first one is destined to be my Sonny Crockett trophy piece, it goes with my Miami Vice era Galco shoulder rig. The second one will be shootin' iron, so I'm thinking I will take out the aluminum rod that has some play in the plunger end and swap in this Brownell's stainless rod.
I bought the rod on eBay, found it while cruising for gun parts and hit the "buy it now" button. I don't get that lucky very often.
