I want one! S&W M&P 15-22 that is

I just purchased one from the local Academy SPorts and Outdoors, it was 449. Love it so far.

very accurate it seems, still have to do a litte sighting in, but it was pretty dang close out of the box. Couldnt be happier, My only plans are a sling and later on either a scope or laser.

Thanks for the info. I knew this rifle was going to be HOT but 33 in 90 minutes is very HOT! You'll probably be seeing some these on GunBroker.com for $500!

My gun dealer called his Minneapolis distributor yesterday and S&W is backed up on this new item already and very few dealers & customers know about this one. My brother-in-law has 2,000 rounds through his with zero problems.

GunBroker.com my eye.... They're already selling for that in Maryland (if you can find one) $500.00 is the MSRP and that's what they sell for. There are people standing in line wanting to buy one of these rifles for that price. You also have to figure the Colt (Walther, Umarex) M4 Ops sells for $650.00 and the Colt M4 Carbine is $600.00

Oh one important fact. If you can buy one in Maryland (there is a max magazine capacity of 20 rounds) the new M&P has a 30 round magazine. They haven't started dumping the so called compliant 10 round magazines on the market as of yet. So even if you could buy one of these rifles, you can't shoot it because you don't have a magazine. The seller has to remove the 30 round magazines from the box before the buyer takes possession of the rifle.

So to the non Commie States......Count your blessings for what you do have. You have cheaper prices for this rifle, and you also have 30 round magazines.

Compared to the competition, the 15-22 at retail is a good buy. I am actually a little surprised that some stores discount the gun as it is a new release and in demand.

The thing that kills me is exactly what you said. How is it that the sellers (whom ever they are) after coming from the factory to the main distributer, to the secondary smaller distributer, and finally to the gun shops. How can they sell it for these prices?

Is it S&W is trying to knock Umarex out of the gun business? I'm just a little courious? And I'm guessing because these aren't available in the so called Compliant form to the few States that don't allow the higher capacity magazines is why they sell for about $100.00 higher than in other areas?

I paid $369 for mine with an LEO discount, $378 is a great price too. Luckily here in Illinois we can still have high capacity magazines. Smith & Wesson is going to sell a lot of these great little rifles.
