THIS GUY, I've heard terrible things about. Never returned, but, payed for parts. Is the biggest, but the list goes on and on.[/QUOTE]

That's a strong statement. Hearsay, or personal experience?

It's really pretty simple. If your looking for a shine use mothers mag and wheel polish (walmart). If you want a mirror finish use some fine and superfine sandpaper and then go over it with a polishing dremel and some mothers mag and wheel polish.

600 grit 3M wet or dry paper(the good stuff) lubed with light oil. Get ready as the stainless is HARD on these and it takes a LOT of work to get the lines out. Then jewelers rouge on a felt wheel, a dremel really makes this part an easy 5 minute job. Of you can do the Mothers mag polish thing with a soft rag and a lot of elbow grease.

If I were going with the latter route I would work up the sandpaper grit ladder first to make the final hand polishing easier. For example, start with 400, then 600 then 800 and then 1000 or 1200 grit....then the compound. Work through each until all of the scratches from the previous grit have been removed, working down to a finer finish with each one.

This not hard but it does take time to do.

These guys have the right idea!!!!

Even if its not stainless, and you take good care, polished steel in the white will last, oiled.

I don't know where this craziness came from, but I've had Todd do a couple of things for me and workmanship and service were tops. If you're going to slam somebody, give facts or shut the hell up. Many of these forums have way too many "experts" who love to see their words in print.

Thanks Guys.

Barrel Polish is about a week turn around right now. Depends on when it gets here. But I try to those basic jobs right out.

Thanks
Todd

LOL, that thread is so full of baloney and made up stuff, not to mention that its over 2 years old and the same people rehash it over and over again. Too funny. I did run into a back up and return parts and have explained that time and time again. Besides, with all the criminal accusations thrown from people on that one forum, not even involved, I am sure I would'nt have passed a super strict background check to become a FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSED Dealer ! Oh wait I did.

Anyone needs references, just look around the forums and you ll find them. Try Sig forum for starters.

For the couple people that werent happy with free work because of the wait, there are way more then plenty that will back up my work and quality of craftsmanship.

Like I always say, there is rumor and then internet rumor LOL.

Thanks
Todd
