I was fly fishing high in the mountains of Virginia near the Appalachian Trail. As I was walking the trail to get to another spot on the creek, I heard something approaching. When I looked up it was a naked male AT hiker. He did not have big feet. Seriously, this is an interesting topic. I want to believe that there are things out there that have escaped our eyes and remain truly wild.

During my time in academia and afterwards keeping current with The National Enquirer, I have come to accept the strongest, most offered argument against the existence of bigfoot and that is the "Muss Muggins" theorem of: "if bigfoot truly exists a soccer mom in a minivan would have hit one".

I just can't see past that glaring logic.

I think aliens may have visited Earth. But, found no intelligent life forms or anything else interesting and left. Think about it if they have developed faster than light travel and bounced around the stars, they would probably think of us as some kind of retarded monkey and seen some some rocks neater than ours.

While they were here a couple of their pet Wokies got loose and started the whole big foot thing.

I don't buy it. Some Wookies could very well have got accidentally stranded, I'll give you that.

Just to set the record straight.... I'm with @BigBill..... no matter what happens ....me and some witnesses saw a bear in N Alabama back in the mid seventies.....asked about remembering the sighting the other day.... both said YEP....and a huge solid white leader of the mixed with canine wolves ...: back then there weren't any coyotes......Here!!!

There's no mountainlions in vt and in ct. too. My neighbor in vt a distance away is seening mountainlions too she's from Colorado. She should know. That backs up my mountainlions sightings. There's a resident mountainlions here in ct where most flyfish. Everyone knows it's there.

About three decades about there was an article about wolves from canada crossing the frozen rivers into northern New York. Why can't the mountainlions follow the same path. Can't say it's extinct if it ain't. We're surrounded by predators again. They own the night.

So, what is "known" about Bigfoot. Size, strength, speed. Their ability to throw rocks accurately is discussed frequently.
Think we could catch one of these things and teach it a few sports?

This is my understanding as well. And under DNA analysis, it closely resembles both human AND ape, but is definitively NEITHER. Unknown species. If this is true, to me it's a tipping point toward belief.
