Iconic American Brands

My nephew gave me a nice Smith & Wesson banner for Christmas. My daughter and I got to discussing iconic American brand names. I said that I figured S&W would probably be in the top 25, or at least top 50, of any 20th Century list. I figured maybe Colt, too.

I decided to do a little research. Here are a couple of interesting articles I found.

Interesting that S&W was above JD and Craftsman, in particular on the "patriotic" list.

I like that Louisville Slugger is tied with Smith & Wesson, both self defense weapons, LOL. If you don't have a gun handy sometimes a bat will get er done.

Sometime, if you find yourself in Louisville, visit the Hillerich & Bradsby factory and their excellent baseball museum. You can't miss it. It has a 120-foot Louisville Slugger leaning casually against the building.
