ID Assistance, Please

Hey, all. New to this forum but not new to this gun. The piece in question has been in my family for nearly 50 years. Here are the vitals:

S&W 38 Special CTG
3-screw (wood grip covers screw #1)
Mod 10-5
Serial # C760330

My mother received this gun from her father when she went off to college in 1966. I don't know if he purchased it for her or if he already had it in his possession (for date significance).

Welcome! This is a model 10-5 as stamped, also called a .38 Military & Police. From the C prefix and number it likely shipped in 1965, but that is just an educated guess as the factory never shipped (ships) in numeric order. It was the standard police service revolver from the 1940s through the '70s. Hope this is helpful.
