Definetly NOT for an S&W so I'll ask the cartridge experts here (lounge) for an assist. I have googled my tail-off and come up empty. Best ID site I found was by C. Steinhauer in Canada but still no definitive answer as to what it is. I got a box of 33 of these years ago and they are pretty dirty but clean up nice except for a few with dents. By the raised "U.M.C. / U.S.A." headstamp I know who made them and where (duh).
Dimensions are: OAL: 3.09" with a lead flatnose bullet of .437" dia. Base dia. is .514 and rim dia. is .582. The wierd raised rim base looks German but I was told long ago it may be for a converted Rollingblock. Everybody has an opinion
, what's yours? Thanks for any helpful guidance.
