have both a M29-2 (1974 original grips) & a M29-10 with modern grips (both wood) & after repeated firings over time, I noticed a little bit back and forth movement now after a day at range. I tried re-setting the little rods inside and same'o...only thing I can think of doing is gluing a sliver of wood inside to try and tighten. Never had this issue with lighter calibers but those mag loads are a different story I guess. Like to hear any ideas others have tried?

Use Acraglas gel from Brownells on the pin holes. Be sure to put plenty of release agent. I use Brownells spray on release agent. I've had to do that a time or too on my 44 magnums. The less you remove the grips, the less likely this is to happen. It is the removal of the grips and reinstallation that generally causes it, not shooting.

If your talking the grip pins holes you have several options. You can fill the holes with epoxy and re-drill or even put the grips on (with release agent of some kind) when the epoxy is somewhat hardened and than take off. Best way is to plug the hole with wood & glue and re-drill or use small slivers of wood and glue and pack the hole with a grip pin size nail or such in position where you want the hole. Once you get the holes in the proper location, sand down and you will barely know you did anything.

I used proper lengths of brass tubing of the correct inside diameter to fit the pins, then drilled the holes in the stocks to create a press fit of the tubing into the stocks. I think that I might have used a very thin super glue to help keep them in place. The brass looks especially nice in walnut stocks, although it is rarely seen.
